To educate the society to be sensitive and understanding of the visually impaired.

Project consists of 3 compartments.

1 - Education :

a - Independent Movement : Visually Impaired elementary school students are educated on the usage of white cains. This education empowers them to be independent individuals in the society.

b - Read Think Share : The Read Think Share Program is implemented in the elementary schools for the visually impaired studetns by YGA moderators. This program empowers the youth to be socially responsible leaders. A special YGA Read Think Share book has been published for the blind youth, a story book archive of 80 leadership books has also been established for the participants.

c - Visually Impaired Leaders' Seminars : Visually impaired leaders of Turkey from all backgrounds give leadership seminars and organize leadership workshops in the elementary scools for the blind. This education builds confidance in blind students as well as their parents. It shows them that being blind is not an impairment in going after their dreams, and if they believe in themselves, anything is possible to achieve.

2 - Career :
A web site regarding the backgroung and contact information of all the visually impaired university students has been implemented. Every year, participants are selected from this web site to be educated in English language and computer sills. Companies such as Eureko, Fritolay, Mercedes,Unilever and Turkcell offer internship positions to these blind leader candidates. In 2007, for the first time in Turkey, an visually impaired graduate of YGA was offered a position at a multinational company to be employed as a manager in their human resource department. Within this project, the blind leader candidates are also given leadership coaching by YGA dream-partners who are leaders from all fields in Turkey.

3 - Workshop :
Within the aim of the project to educate the society as individuals who are sensitive and respectful of the blind, YGA graduates and visually impaired students participated in dragon boat races on May 31 to June 1. The 40 person YGA team consisted of blind and not visually impaired members. The team came last in the races but won the hearts of everyone who attended the event. YGA team was presented a special honors award as "Sultans of Hearts"
