Education:
1 - Socially Responsible Leadership Seminars:
As the first step of the project to empower the visually impaired youth, YGA organizes "Socially Responsible Leadership Seminars." Students, educators, businessman, NGO's are all invited to attend. During the first part of the seminar the participants are educated on the leadership skills and success stories of the visually impaired leaders are shared. During the second half, the participants are invited to attend workshops regarding social, educational and economic development of the blind youth.
This year, 3000 people attended these seminars. YGA organizes these seminars annually.

After the leadership seminars in Bilkent, students to participate in the 2007 leadership camp were selected.

After TOBB Seminars, students to participate in the 2007 leadership camp were selected.
April 10, Koc University
After the seminar at Koc University, participants were invited to attend a workshop regarding social, educational and economic development of the blind youth. 12 different groups of participants developed project ideas, the implementation of these projects were disccussed till late hours of the night.
April 12, Bogazici University
After the university seminars at Bogazici, a workshop was organized regarding a leadersip camp for the visally impaired youth. The camp will take place the last week in June.

2 - Read Think Share Project - Ankara:
Read Think Share Project's mission is to educate and inspire students in 6th and 7th grades to be socially responsible leaders of the future. The project is implemented in the creative libraries built by YGA in public elementary schools. Students are educated on subjects of leadership development skills by YGA trained moderators. A special book titled Read Think Share published by YGA is given to students to read and discuss leadership subjects from. The project also involves book discussions and creative writing skills. On April 16, 2007 the Read Think Share project was implemented in Ankara in Mithat Enc Elementary School for the blind. The Read Think Share book was recorded to a CD for the visually impaired students by Bogazici University students and Eureko Insurance volunteers.

3 - Read Think Share Istanbul:
Read Think Share Project's implementation in Istanbul will begin soon.The project will be implemented in all the elementary schools in Turkey for the visually impaired youth in the coming years.

4 - Leadership Camp for the Visually Impaired:
Visually Impaired students participated in YGA's annual Leadership Camp. The camp takes place every year in Saklikoy/ Istanbul during the last week in June.
LEADERSHIP CAMP 2007
2007 LEADERSHIP CAMP RESULTS:
- Hande Keykubat: Was hired by Pepsico.
- Eureko Insurance: With the support of General manager Mr. Okan Utkueri of Euroke Insurance, a project for YGA leadership camp graduates was initiated. Within this project YGA trained visually impaired leaders will start work as call center supervisors of the visually impaired workers.
- Turkcell: With the support of Vice General Manager, Ms Lale Saral Develioglu and Human Resources Director, Ms.Selen Kocabas, a project to empower the visually impaired youth in call centers and in human resources departments has been initiated.
5 -International Leadership Camp for the Visually Impaired Youth:
Every year YGA organizes an Internationla Leadership Camp in USA.
2007 International Leadership Camp:

- Meetings with NGO's and CEO's regarding projects for the development of the visually impaired youth.
- Meetings with World Bank representatives.
- Meetings with NGO's and Congress representatives in Washington DC
- Participate in radio programs in Raleigh, North Carolina

6 - Project's 5 Year Plan :
The project's 5 Year Plan aims:
To educate visually impaired leaders who are sensitive and respectful to society

February 21 2007, Mr Sinan Yaman, founder of YGA, participated in a radio show to discuss the project. In the month of April, leadership seminars for the social, educational and economic development of the visually impaired youth was organized by YGA. On April 29 2007, Milliyet Newspaper reported the project. On May 8 2007, TRT Ankara Radio broadcasted the project. On May 9 2007, open radio interviwed Mr Yaman about the progress of the project. On July 17 2007, visually impaired YGA graduates Hande Keykubat & Suleyman Ari discussed the project on open radio.
8 - Setting Up A Website:
A web site has been established by YGA for the visually impaired youth. The purpose of this web site is to create a platform where the students can discuss project ideas, communicate between themselves, learn about on-going projects YGA has implemented in the areas of social, economic and educational development of the youth and learn about leadership seminars organized by YGA. The leadership seminars are open to everyone.
